With the Fourth of July holiday weekend here, we're all looking forward to a long weekend with friends and family. I certainly know I am. Many of you will be at a barbecue or taking a much deserved break to spend time with your loved ones and family. While we look forward to this rest and relaxation, we must not forget the significance of Independence Day. In 1776, our nation's first leaders broke their chains of tyranny and oppression and lead us to become a free nation. Our country did not mature into a free nation for all until after the last battle of the American Revolution commonly called the Civil War. Today, new forms of hate and intolerance have accepted divisive defeatism. Our nation is great, because of its people are great. We are diverse, hardworking and dedicated to making this nation the best it can be.
I hope you all have a wonderful time with your families and God Bless America on this 4th of July holiday. Support good jobs this weekend and remember when you are out preparing for your July 4th celebrations, shop responsibly and buy Union Made in the USA whenever possible. Below you will find some resources to make this a simple and rewarding task.
